technology and teaching:
i have over five years of experience with Max/MSP/Jitter programming, sensor and actuator interfaces, analog circuitry, fabrication, lighting control, audio/video editing and installation, and more. i’ve assisted a number of artists with the technical needs of their projects, as well as taught art and technology in a variety of contexts.
sound design and engineering:
my work on stage focuses on composing a comprehensive sound environment for each production, creating music or arranging existing music as well as layering ambient sound to reveal the form of the script and express the emotion within. my design work also includes design and engineering for musical theater and opera, in which case the focus shifts to the musical score and expressing its structure and cadence through sound reinforcement and effects.
